Peter Franus Brandlin Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2018

Since 1991 I have produced a Zinfandel from Brandlin Vineyard on Mount Veeder. The 2016 is my inaugural release of Cabernet Sauvignon from this iconic vineyard.

Youthful dark ruby—nearly opaque—the nose of our 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon offers cassis, allspice, black olive, espresso, bay and vanilla. Flavors of blueberry and dried herb expand to mouth-filling impression that is bright and lively with a feminine touch that reigns in the brawn of brooding mountain fruit. A perfect tannin and acid structure leads to a finish with just the right grip to sustain the wine for a very long time. Fine, pure, and elegant.
