Di Arie Syrah 2018

This wine was made from Estate Grown grapes, harvested when completely ripe. These were hand sorted and gently crushed. It was aged for 2 years in 20% new French oak barrels. It has a deep red colour and a classic Syrah aroma of dark berries combined with green and black peppercorn with piney undertones. This big wine starts with subtle dark fruit flavours and finishes with an abundance of smoky, meaty, earthy flavours reminiscent of bacon and mushrooms. It has a long finish adding herbal, spicy flavours. It is a big wine which will benefit from ageing for a few years for optimal quality.
